Founded as a not-for-profit organization in December, 2004,
the ISBP&PNI fosters an international community of leading
physicians, professors, researchers, and students while
supporting a forum for its members to exchange information
to nurture the awareness of brachial plexus and peripheral
nerve injury.
These guidelines are intended to be advisory rather than
prescriptive and to evolve over time, refined by society
members.
The immediate goals of ISBP&PNI are to:
- create a leadership organization
- foster participation in the Society
- enhance awareness of brachial plexus and peripheral
nerve injury
- stimulate research and teaching methods for prevention
and correction of obstetric and acquired brachial plexus
and peripheral nerve injury
- provide a forum for exchange of knowledge
- promote excellence
